The Hotel Stimulation Software is used for the analysis for the hotel management training and the analysis. Through the use of this software the participants and the stakeholders can perform the identification of the problem, giving priority to the problems and the solving of the problems related to the hotel business (Zhang et al.,2017). This kind of software also helps to develop a team that will manage the different functions of the hotel managements (Peng, 2015). With the help of this software analysis of the market along with determining the present position of the business in the market can be determined (Xing, Ren & Ling, 2015).  The analysis of these situation is done by the software as it collects the data regarding both the operational decision making and the decisions made by the management of the ,managers of the hotels and compare the decisions with the operational functions of the other competitive hotels (Salem et al.,2018). In this paper the main objective is to do the reflective analysis of the current hotel stimulation software. The analysis will consists of the benefits and the drawbacks of the system along with the impacts of the using the system for the business. The paper also discusses about the future aspects and the opportunities of the system.

Hotel Stimulation System (HOTS Online) is made by the team 3, is the system that has the different functionality regarding keeping the track of the hotel business. The general objective of this software is to guide the users of the system about making decisions regarding the running of the hotel. The decision making is done on the basis of the data generated by the system. The modification of the input is provided by the users of the software.Apart form that the marketing strategy of the business can also be generated with the use of this software.

The main objective of the hotel stimulation system is to keep the track of the operations regarding the running of the hotel. The best thing about this software is that the purpose of the software is served properly (Rotimi et al.,2017). The detailed analysis of weekly indicators, cash flow , statement of the income and the  balances sheet along with the monthly indicator and the operating statement can be viewed from the online sites. The generation of these reports are driven by the data entered in the decision making tab.

Drawbacks of Hotel Stimulation Software

It has been seen that the reports based on the entered value is generated in the right way.

The right generation of the report indicate sthe business situation. It also indicates the future aspects of the business and required modification.

The market situation can be determined from the STAR report given in the site (Yang et al.,2014). The report indicate sthe position business of the hotel against data collected from the  other competitive hotels. The percentage of the change is also indicated in the report.

The comparison with the other competitor hotels has been done properly.  The statues of the competitors and the sales of the competitor hotels for certain consecutive months and years has been specified in the different sections of the websites. This will help the stakeholders associated with the hotel business to get the idea about the competitive market.

In order to present then generated report more specifically the graphs regarding the price of the booking along with the monthly and quarterly  report are presented through the graph.  For increasing the portability of the data all the data regarding the report are convertible to CSV (Wang,Lin & Luo, 2017). There is a separate space in the website that where the data to CSV conversion can be achieved.

Under the team management section there is decision and the market research. The changes in the values of the calculations like the percentage of the discount, and the prices of the rooms for consecutive months and the years can be changed through the decision tabs. The changes can be saved. The generation of the reports will be based on the changed value.

The main weakness of the system is that the authentication process. The system can be logged in from anywhere and the from any system. In this case the manipulation of the data can be done easily. There is a login system that takes the user name and the password before logging in into the system. However, this security system is not enough to provide security to a system that holds the important data and numerical figures.

The user interface of the software can be more flexible. Every time after the compilation of the work for the certain page,  a pop up window appears to remind that the data is not saved. However, this warning could be presented in a more specific way. Going from one page of the website to the another page sometimes become difficult as there is no direct link present in some of the cases.

Opportunities for Future Improvement

Another weakness of the software is that the is page of the software contains too much of information. The introduction page of the software can contain the links and the spaces those are more specific about fulfilling the objective of this software (Feng et al.,2017). The other important data can be stored in the hidden place and the access of those information may be needed special permission or the authentication.

Different decisions has been made while developing of the software. Some of them are good decision and some of the decision are bad decision.

One of the good decision taken by me within the team decision using the HOTS software is regarding the F&B. The idea for making a separate page for the F&B is a good decision as it enables the way for uploading the menu based on the specific price and the supplier. The menu can be uploaded by the user of the software. The cost of the food can be calculated easily and the order can given to the supplier through this page.

Another significant decision made is the including of the advertising section. The advertisement section gives a clear view about the upcoming advertising decisions and named the different section under different campaigns. This gives a clear road map for the decisions to be made for the promotion of the hotel business.

Another good decision made by me is to include the separate space for keeping the track of the staffs for the each level and the department and the training of the staffs required for each of the department. This includes a clarity in managing the employees. The track can be kept on the total number of employees and the number of staffs needed to be trained.

One of the bad decision made by me is the inclusion guest comfort tab in the website. According to the website , the guest comfort can be enhanced by choosing the and modify the type of the room and quality of the service provided by the hotel. However, the overall enhancement of the guest experience can be improved by the improvement of the integration of all the services. The guest experience cannot be improved on the basis of the single parameter. If I can get a chance to reconstruct the software again, I would suggest a separate tab for collecting the review of the guests. The analysis of the review of the existing guest will help to identify the flaws in the service of the hotel.

Training using Hotel Stimulation Software

Including of the content management system is another bad decision in development of the project. The content management system includes managing of the format management in the web based publishing field (Hsiao et al.,2014). The significance of maintaining the content management system is important for  managing the websites and the contents of the websites. However, it has no significance in the management of the business of the hotels (Çak?r & Ako?lan Kozak,2017). The managing of the content is the technical part of the development and the maintenance of the software. Including this part in the website increases the overhead, which is not desirable. In case, if I can get a chance for redevelopment of the software, I would not include the CMS part in the user login portion.

Another bad decision made by me is the inclusion of the rate management page in the website. There is a separate page for the calculation of the rates based on the number of guests and the types of the rooms. The  separate rate adjustment tab is used for the adjustment of the payment in some special cases like late and the application of the discount (Dewey III et al.,2016). The maintaining of the separate rate adjustment page can create problem in the calculation  of the total rates (Lee & Ahn, 2014). If I could get a chance for the redevelopment of the software, I would include the rate adjustment within the calculation of the rates section. The total addition and the deduction of the rates will be calculated in a same page and will generate the detailed report of the calculation. This will help to understand the adjustment on the base rate in a easy and clear way.

The discussion indicates the workings and the ability to deliver the required objective by the software from the different aspects. The discussion indentifies the good decisions and the bad decisions regarding the development of the software. These aspects indicates the opportunities and the further scope of the improvement of the software.

The future training using the software can be evaluated through the analysis of the opportunities and the functionality of the software. A future resort manager has the chance to train the employees in future using this hotel stimulation software. The employees can be trained through the data generated by the software report (Fernandez,  Bonarini & Cañamero, 2015). The response of the employee can be recorded and then compared to the ideal response. This will help the employees to learn about the presentation of the correct thing in the right time of the business process of the hotels (Zuo, Xiong & Iida, 2017). The review of the guests can also be recorded using the software,. The employees will get the indications about the flaws of the service form those reviews. In this case the proper training can be given to the employees for the advancement of the services.

Conclusion

The employees in the executive level can be trained to make the decisions from the data collected by the hotel stimulation software (Lei,2015). This will help the business of the hotel to expand in a certain part. Apart from that the hotel can develop a SWOT analysis on the data collected and generated by the software.

It can be said from the that the hotel stimulation system software  will e helpful for generating the reports and the results for the decision making about the business and development of the marketing of the business. The employees can be trained  on the basis of the information collected by the system.

Conclusion

The paper discussed about the software which is known as the software stimulation system. The system is already implemented. This report has focused on the effectiveness of the system. In this context the reflection about the good and bad decisions  are made regarding the development of the software structure. The reflection also focused on the changes that could have been made if the redevelopment of the software happened. However, there are some of the security flaws such as the lack of authentication and the absence of the flexibility of the user interface are presented in the system. Elimination of these flaws in the further modification can make this system more user friendly and effective. It can be concluded from the above discussion that the paper is effective in giving the overviews of the online hotel stimulation software along with impact of the software on the employees and the business.
