According to the theory of Liberalism, globalization is just an extension of modernization. It is just an extension of the factors and the situations that brought about change in the the society. It has helped in determining the different aspects of the economic welfare and political liberty (Axford 2013). The concept of Liberalism has helped in the growth of technology. On the other hand, it has also facilitated the growth of the communication facilities with the advent of new technologies and their adoption in the society. The major aspects of the social change are based on the factors of development in the technological and the communicational structure of the society. Maybe, according to some authors, globalization is just the intermingling of new cultures in the workplaces.  However, the impact of globalization on the development of the technologies and the communicational activities are worth mentioning in this context (Murray and Overton  2014).

Alternatively, the theory of Constructivism has helped in the understanding of the aspects of globalization from a different angle. It has helped in determining the social signs and symbols, which are requires a thorough interpretation. This has helped in the development of communication in the modern world. The theory of constructivism has helped in determining the different perspectives of the interaction that are undertaken by the organization. According to Hitt, Ireland and Hoskisson (2012), the theory has helped in the proper evolution of the languages and the technologies that are required for the better interpretation of the messages. The encoding and the decoding concepts are derived from the conceptualized version of the elements that are present while communicating. On the other hand, Michel Foucault has helped in the understanding of the Post-Modernism theory of globalization through the determination of the different aspects of the knowledge power and their clear portrayal in the society. The knowledge power of the individuals can be termed as IP (Intellectual Property), which has helped in the formation and the evolution of the different technologies in the market (Matthews and Thakkar  2012). The communication that is being undertaken by the individuals is influenced by the Lasswell’s model of communication. The proper implementation of the Lasswell’s model of communication is dependent on the theories of globalization and their perfect implementation in the society.  

Theories of Globalization and Communication

The theory of Trans-formationalism has helped in the understanding of the different factors that are required to be considered for determining the evolution of the communication in the age of globalization. The theory enumerates the interconnectedness in cultural, economic and political matters (Mignolo and Escobar  2013). The interconnectedness and the free exchange of the virtues of the factors have helped in determining the social space that is being created through the implementation of the theory.

The theories have helped in the development of the communication in the age of globalization.  Globalization has facilitated in the intermingling of the different aspects of the culture and heritage as people from different origins comes together for performing teamwork. The development of the communication skills have helped in determining the different aspects of the change brought about by globalization (Cornali and Tirocchi  2012). On the other hand, the inter-cultural communication and the introduction of the technological elements in the communication have helped in enhancing the skills for undertaking communication with the people on the other side of the globe.  Proper communication has helped in the undertaking of the cross-cultural collaborations that have helped in undertaking steps for facilitating the practices marked under globalization. The theories of globalization have helped in determining the dynamics of the communication and the role played by the same.  Communication as a whole has helped in the development of the globalization in the world. On the other hand, Castells (2013) believed that the dependence of the technological advancements and effective communication is based on the resourcefulness of globalization. Therefore, the idea of the interdependence of globalization and communication can be determined through the understanding of the different situations.

The most important aspect of the globalization is based on the intermingling of the cultures and the languages. Globalization has brought about the cultures and the heritages of the people where people communicate with one another with the aim of enhancing the efficiency. On the other hand, it has resulted to various communicational barriers and misinterpretations of the message that is being conveyed by the people across the world (Okoro, and Washington 2012). However, globalization has facilitated the growth of the multinationals and brought about changes in the Medias of communication through the advancements of the technology, it has also created havoc chances of miscommunications.

According to Crane, Kawashima and Kawasaki (2016), the advent of globalization has brought about changes in the economic, political and the social systems of the nations. It has helped in undertaking ways of improving the technologies that are used by the organizations thus bringing in improvements in the processes undertaken by the same. The consideration of the social structure and the modes of communication that are being undertaken helps in determining the effectiveness of globalization. The impact of globalization is based on the criterion of bringing in the changes based on the technological advancements. In a study, Artz  and Yahya (2012) stated that the proper application of the theories communication and the maintenance of the elements helps in undertaking effective communication that links the inter-cultural communities. The proper understanding of the different aspects of the communication is based on the resourcefulness of the practices. Globalization has helped in undertaking developments in the communication and the proper utilization of the media.  The proper utilization of the media has helped in the undertaking of proper communication, which again helps in the undertaking of the approaches of globalization. According to Esser (2013), globalization has helped in the proper understanding of the change in the needs and the cultures of the people. On the other hand, Chen (2012) believed that the understanding of the requirements of the people around the world is being facilitated by the proper implementation of the communicational strategies. Communication and the globalization go hand in hand with the modifications based on the change in the needs and preferences of the people.

The intermingling of the cultures and the backgrounds of the people has created a major impact on the communication that is being undertaken between them. The theory of Constructivism has helped in the proper understanding of the signs and the symbols, which help in undertaking proper communication. Norris (2012) stated that communication has helped in the growth of the companies and their management. On the other hand, the globalization has helped in bringing forth changes in the social structure. The establishment of the global media platforms and the social integration through the media platforms helps in bringing in considerable changes in the systems.

The growth of the companies and the systems is being facilitated by the emergence of globalization. On the other hand, globalization and the intermingling of culture and the backgrounds of the people have affected the communication that is undertaken by the people (Sorrells 2015). The difference in the languages of the people has posed a serious threat on the communication that is spoken. The confusion in the languages and the terminology creates misunderstanding and misinterpretation, which often affects the potentials of the communicators.  The factor that is being considered while undertaking the changes in the medias of communication denotes the steady understanding of the different factors of progression. According to Kraidy (2017), proper communication that is being undertaken by the people are based on the perceptions and the cognitive abilities of the people to understand the signs. The most important factor that is being portrayed in this case of globalization is based on the evolution of the media, which has helped in the promotion of enhanced communication practices.

Therefore, from the above analysis it may be stated that communicational practices has undergone a significant amount of change based on globalization.  It has helps in the proper undertaking of the functions adhering to the interests and the prerequisites of the people. Globalization has enabled nations to develop economically, socially and ethically. On the other hand, the supportive tool for bringing in the change is abed on the communication that is being enhanced along with the advanced technology.
