Considering the case at hand, having run a clothing and apparel company, I opted to conduct research on the use of social media to advertise my products. From the research, it was evident from almost all sources that marketing through social media is one of the most versatile and cost-effective methods and this could greatly help me reach my customers fast and in large numbers. This report is a summary of the research findings alongside recommendations on what most experts in the social media marketing argued about social media marketing.
Recommendations on why to use social media for advertising
Most textile and clothes potential customers will be found on social media
From a survey and research finding, most of the experts recommended the use of social media for marketing my clothes with the supportive arguments that most of my future and potential customers spend time on social media channels. From statistics, about 70 percent of the world populations have at least one social media platform profile. The number is expected to be raised after the other. With the current high and expected number of social media use on a daily basis, it’s a great opportunity for our company to post the images of our clothing, prices and other information relating to our product for our online audience to view. (Smith, 2018)
According to these experts, the viewing is always the first event. If the clothing material attracts the customer, they tend to react by seeking contact information and posting comments or their views about that particular clothing. This moment will now open up an opportunity for convincing the customer by giving more details and offers for the clothing. Moreover, nowadays, not only customers are on social media, but there is a high probability that most of them are spending time looking for decent clothes and fashions worn by other people like celebrities every day and therefore it’s recommendable that I used these pages to post for my clothing targeting these groups of social media users. In addition to that, it has been evident from the research that it will be easy to reach and connect with our target customers easily if only we maintain active profiles and channels in social media platforms that these customers often use. From one of the expert, he claimed that” don’t make your audience come to you for your clothes, go for them. Missing in social media would be missing a chance to connect with potential customers seeking clothing’s that our organization deal with. (Hughes & Reynolds, 2016)
One of the major challenges I have been facing is planning an adhering to my marketing budget. According to experts, marketing is a costly activity. To be successful in the clothing business, you have to cut the cost associated with selling process of those clothes. Social media marketing is one of the recommended methods of advertising goods such as clothing and textile products. According to one of the experts I met across, one of the greatest benefits of social media marketing is that it assists the seller in cutting all cost associated without marketing their products without sacrificing the end results. The method is recommendable for such product like ours since most of the expected results tend to come from time investment in creation of eye please adverts on clothes, images pictures of models well dressed in those clothes to show a clear images of the outfit and spending enough time to converse with interested fans who end up being customers to those clothes. Social media marketing is recommendable for our textile good since we have enough time to advertise and have interacted with interested fans. It’s more of time than financial commitments.
In the course of the research on social media marketing through advertisement, it was clear that many brands depend upon search engine optimization and traffic to engage new leads and search. However, in respect to our product, different sources indicated that marketing our clothes through social media platforms can act as a perfect outlet for sourcing out new customers we are not aware of them. Recommendations and reviews to already loyal and satisfied customers will always go miles away in helping us to connect with customers that we are not aware of. It’s recommendable to always give the best offer and quality of clothing to any customer we win. (Dill, 2009)
Social media goes hand in hand with visibility. Experts advocate for this method since our product is accessed with more of appearance than any other measures. Social media offer a platform where textile commodities can be posted for all viewers to see them and in the many viewers in different platforms; many experts believe you can never miss a good number of them who are interested and ready to purchase those clothes.
Conclusion
Social media marketing is a fantastic way of reaching new users. Though it may be challenging to come up with a successful social media campaign for some goods, in the case of textile and clothe industry, it needs time commitments and persuading adverts placed on social media. Therefore, as for proposed to my department supervisor that social media marketing is the most effective method to advertise our clothing products and apparel. (Brianna, 2018)
