In what way did the slave trade hurt village life in West and central Africa?
The providers were gone.
The majority of people taken as slaves were strong, able-bodied Africans. That means the very young, very old, and sick/weak were left to fend for themselves. They could not provide and take care of themselves without those taken as slaves. It affected central and west Africa because that is where the English went to capture slaves.
