Molar volume is the volume of the gas under the conditions T=273K, P=1.0 atm (101.3 kPa). These conditions are known as STP (standard temperature and pressure)
You can use the equation: PV = nRT. If you isolate the variable “V” (by dividing both sides by “P”), you will be left with:
V= nRT/P — where R is the universal gas constant (8.31 J/K/mol).
Using the , you would find the volume of 1 mole of a gas at Standard Temperature and Pressure (STP).
STP = 1 atm of pressure and 273 K for temperature
P = 1 atm
V = ???
n = 1 mole
R = 0.0821 atm L/mol K
K = 273 K

##V = (n R T )/ P##
##V = (1 mol (0.0821 (atm L))/(mol K) 273 K)/(1 atm)##
V = 22.41 L of gas @ STP
